Description

Indulge in succulent ribeye steaks drizzled with a velvety whiskey cream sauce, capturing the essence of Irish culinary tradition.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless ribeye steaks
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup whiskey
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the steaks generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Add the steaks to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side for medium-rare.
  4. Flip the steaks and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes or until desired doneness is reached.
  5. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a cutting board.
  6. Pour in the whiskey into the same skillet and deglaze the pan.
  7. Stir in the heavy cream and Dijon mustard, cooking until the sauce thickens (5-7 minutes).
  8. Plate the steaks and drape the whiskey cream sauce on top. Garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

Allow steaks to rest at room temperature before cooking for even results. The whiskey cream sauce can be made ahead and reheated before serving.
